%X The increase of the residues''generation due to the high populations consume had been worried researches concerning its polluted potential and the need of new places for placement. One alternative to the residues'' reduction sent to the landfill is recycling. Selective collection is the beginning of the materials'' recover which will be sent to the recycling, and it can be done through workers whose gather into cooperatives aiming a better work and better income conditions. On this way, the present paper aims optimizing the routes of recycling material collection made through a cooperative located in Sorocaba, SP, through geoprocess techniques and special analysis. From the datas collected, it was possible to analyse the development of the routes which it had facilitated to present improvements, aiming the reduction of unproductive routes and raise the quantity of recycling material of the identification of streets with the potential of enrollment of new homes. It was also possible to present a reduction of 3,41 km in the total distance sprinted weekly by a truck and the identification of 24 streets with potential to increase 138 collections spots (domicile) in the routes sprinted during the week. On this way, it was concluded that the methodology proposed to evaluate the collection routes of recycling materials through the application of geoprocess techniques and spatial analysis has shown efficient and it can be considered an useful instrument to the public management in the decision-making.
